The Beginning...

May 27, 2010: One of the most exciting days of our lives. It was like any other Thursday morning; woke up, had breakfast with Travis and then we went off our separate ways. He went to work, as I went to my last critical thinking class before finals. After class had ended I had time before work and decided to go to the doctor's office. After waiting what seemed like an eternity the doctor confirmed what Travis and I had been hoping for-I'm pregnant! I went the entire day, anxious to talk to Travis and share the exciting news. Of course, I wasn't going to tell him over the phone, so when we were settled in after work, and were debating what to do for dinner-I shared the good news, in shock and excited Travis couldn't have been happier. He took me to Cheesecake factory where we celebrated and decided how we'd tell all of our family and friends.
Which brings the purpose of this blog, to share with all of our family and friends the adventure we're going to be going through for the next nine months and the years to follow. We have so many family member's that aren't in a 5 mile radius that we want them to get all the details our local family members get. Since this is what we say "a team effort" Travis and I will be taking turns writing blogs, so look for who wrote it at the end of each entry.
Here are the two first photos we've taken in the past couple of days to celebrate:
The first one is of the flowers Travis brought home for me the next day after I told him I was pregnant along with "Kole" the stuffed animal the florist shop gave him as a congrats present =) The one below that is a picture of the baby's first pair of jammies-courtesy of Grammy & Grampy Wilson. It's green, so it'll work for boy or girl and as far as Nemo is concerned that's fitting for us because it was the first movie we watched together when we met in 2004. "Finding Nemo".

With that more pictures will soon come. We'll be taking monthly photos of the tummy along with progress of decorating our soon to be nursery.

I love you Travy...

  1. Awww you guys make me so warm and fuzzy inside. :) I love baby stuff. The clothes (and especially the shoes) are just so super adorable, it makes me want to buy everything. I'm sorry, but your baby will be spoiled by me!
